For Directorate of Education (DoE)

• Education:
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./JBT)
  • OR Senior Secondary with 45% + D.El.Ed. (as per NCTE 2002 norms)
  • OR Senior Secondary with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed.
  • OR Senior Secondary with 50% + 2-year Diploma in Special Education
  • OR Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Other Requirements:
  • Pass in CTET (Paper-I) conducted by CBSE
  • Must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English at Secondary level

For NDMC

• Education:
  • 12th pass with 50% (45% for SC/ST)
  • Two-year Diploma in Primary Education / JBT / DIET / B.El.Ed.
