KVS Special Educator (PRT) – Complete Notes

These notes are prepared according to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Special Educator (PRT) Tier II syllabus. The purpose of this page is to provide simple and clear notes for candidates preparing for the KVS Special Educator recruitment examination and other special education related exams.

The syllabus mainly focuses on understanding disability, growth and development of children, inclusive education, and different teaching strategies required for children with disabilities. These notes will help candidates understand important concepts in an easy language and will also support quick revision before examinations.

The syllabus is divided into two major sections: Section A (Compulsory) and Section B (Optional Specialization). KVS

Section A – Compulsory Topics

Section A includes the basic foundation of special education and child development. Important topics covered in this section include:

  • Inclusive Education

Section B – Optional Disability Specialization

In Section B, candidates must select one disability specialization according to their qualification or interest. The available options are:

  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
  • Hearing Impairment (HI)
  • Visual Impairment (VI)
  • Multiple Disabilities (MD)

This section includes topics related to characteristics of children with disabilities, curriculum development, disability specific interventions, and teaching strategies for students with disabilities. KVS
